The Point Born between the Industrial and Digital revolutions, older adults today comprise one of the most fascinating generations in history. They lived through a depression, at least one world war, the sudden death of a president-king and the assassination of a president-myth, an internal uprising for equality and peace and an external threat of world destruction, all while they shifted our center from rural to urban to suburban. They are our parents and grandparents, they are not immortal, and their stories should be kept. The Classes Michael Humphrey, a reporter and editor, created a 6-week writing course based on the principles of journalism. Class members leave with one well-crafted story and a model for writing more. The web site KCSTORIES.COM is a venue to share the best writing from these classes. In addition, The Kansas City Public Library will archive stories and connect them to genealogy resources. Sorry, we are not able to accept outside submissions or comment on your writing.
